Food Production Equipment Cleaning
HACCP-aligned, food-grade cleaning of conveyors, ovens, mixers and packaging lines.
HACCP-aligned, food-grade cleaning of conveyors, ovens, mixers and packaging lines.
Food production lines accumulate carbonised sugars, baked-on protein, oil residues and product build-up that water-based cleaning can’t shift without long shutdowns. Chemical cleaning introduces residues that must be rinsed and tested for; downtime kills throughput. Dry ice blasting cleans hot or cold equipment in place, with no chemical residues, no water, and no significant cool-down time on ovens — letting you swap from one product to another without losing a shift.

Why dry ice for food production cleaning
No chemicals — HACCP friendly
CO₂ pellets are food-safe and sublimate to vapour. No detergents, no rinse step, no chemical residues to test for.
Cleans hot ovens without cool-down
Oven plates, conveyor belts and bake rollers can be cleaned at temperature, saving hours per change-over.
No water in electrics
Motor housings, control panels and PLCs aren’t soaked. No water lockouts, no drying time.
Fits CIP / OPC programs
Slots in alongside existing clean-in-place and operator-cleaning regimes.
Saves the equipment
No abrasive media to embed in surfaces. No corrosive chemicals on stainless or aluminium.
How a typical food production cleaning job runs
- 1
Site walk-through
We assess line layout, sanitation regime, allergen status and downtime windows.
- 2
Trial section
A short trial run on one zone validates technique and timing before scoping the full clean.
- 3
Phased clean
Lines cleaned by zone during planned changeovers; HEPA capture where airborne particulate is a concern.
- 4
Validation
Visual inspection plus optional ATP swabbing for sanitation verification.
Surfaces & limits
Where this service works well — and the situations we'll flag for repair instead of cleaning.
- Stainless steel surfaces
- Conveyor belts (PVC & rubber)
- Bake plates & oven walls
- Mixer bowls & paddles
- Packaging machinery
- Surfaces requiring chemical sanitisation only
- Direct food-contact areas during production (always done in changeover)

Is dry ice cleaning HACCP compliant?
CO₂ pellets are food-grade and approved for use in food production environments. We integrate into your existing HACCP plan and document each clean.
Can you clean a hot oven?
Yes — and this is the biggest advantage. Bake plates, ovens and tunnels can be cleaned at near-operating temperature, saving hours of cool-down.
Do you handle allergen change-overs?
Yes. We work with QA leads on validated allergen change-over procedures, with documented swab evidence.
Will it damage the conveyor belts?
No — pressure is tuned per belt material. PVC, rubber and modular plastic belts all clean without surface damage.
Does the CO₂ pose any risk to workers?
In confined spaces we monitor CO₂ levels and use ventilation. In normal production halls there is no significant exposure issue.
