Wheels & Wheel Wells Cleaning
Brake dust, tar and stubborn grime — gone, without acid or harsh wheel cleaners.
Brake dust, tar and stubborn grime — gone, without acid or harsh wheel cleaners.
Brake dust is essentially metallic particulate fused to your wheels by heat — wheel cleaners chemically dissolve it but eventually etch protective coatings. Wheel wells trap road tar, stones and grease that pressure washers can’t fully shift. Dry ice blasting lifts both contamination types without acid, without abrasion, and without forcing water into wheel bearings.

Why dry ice for wheels & wheel wells
No acid, no etching
Bypass the long-term damage caused by acid wheel cleaners — especially on diamond-cut and powder-coated finishes.
Behind-spoke detail
We can clean inside complex multi-spoke designs, calipers and back-faces without dismounting wheels.
Brake dust on coated calipers
Painted, ceramic-coated and bare calipers all clean up — without lifting the coating.
Wheel wells, fully done
Including the inside of the arch liner where pressure washers can never reach.
How a typical wheels & wheel wells job runs
- 1
Wheel-on assessment
We assess each corner and identify any coating-sensitive areas (PVD, ceramic, diamond cut).
- 2
Off-vehicle option
For premium / show wheels, removal gives full access to the back face and barrel.
- 3
Blast & detail
Pressure tuned per surface — face, barrel, caliper, well — followed by hand detailing.

Is dry ice safe for diamond-cut wheels?
Yes — at appropriate pressure. Diamond-cut wheels have a thin clear coat over a machined face; we don’t etch it the way acid cleaners eventually do.
Can you do calipers without a re-paint?
In most cases yes. We remove brake dust without lifting properly-bonded paint or ceramic coatings.
Do wheels need to come off?
For show-grade work we recommend removal. For everyday cleans, on-car is faster and effective.
Will it damage the tyres?
No — pellets are non-abrasive on rubber and don’t cause flat spots or sidewall marking.
